Is It Possible to Have Truly Unbiased Media?

The case of MAGA hat-wearing Covington students this week has made clear the massive schism between left-leaning and right-leaning media. With the political climate growing every more volatile and people passing over dialouging in favor of namecalling, do you think its possible to ever have a truly unbiased media news source that reports without political leaning?

There always have been biases in media, for as long as media existed. This isn't something brand new, it's always been there. Now some medias are better at managing their biases, and also if you know what they are, you can point them out and read critically. Anyway, having several sources of media remains the best way to prevent that.

even media that are said to be the least biased like The Associated Press, Financial Times, and Reuters have at least some bias to them (mostly left-leaning). But if you're interested in which media are the least biased in general, there's a list on mediabiasfactcheck.com.

I don't think so. But then again, I don't really care. People are always going to call what they don't like "biased." Whilst I do believe that events should be reported on objectively, the type of journalism that I personally enjoy is infused with commentary and opinion. I think it's a middle ground fallacy to claim that journalism needs to be void of all opinion in order to be good for the consumer.

in general, any media can either choose to side or being neutral. but however, all media will have their own agenda that weighing their decisions to choose the sides. be it political gain, popularity gain, it's really to how they value the information for themselves, those related and the public.

that's what i can understand at the very least when it comes to this ;3
