Disney is Shit

The Swahili phrase Hakuna Matata is copyrighted and Swahili speakers such as Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, etc. can't use it for business. Which is shitty. Disney is such a shitty company and brand.

I don’t think it works that way. Although the general sentiment that Disney sucks is true.

Well, that just means that they can't sell let's say T-Shirts saying "Hakuna Matata" in the US. It won't affect them in Africa. It doesn't really stop you from using this phrase either. Just like Apple trademarked "Apple", but you can still use if for everything that isn't a phone. Not to mention, if I'm corrected they filed for this back then in 1994 when the movie came out, surprised to see people talk about that now, but I guess that's because of the new movie.

That’s your example? Boy, you must not know about them fucking up Anaheim’s poor population and buying political figures.

Nope. But I've known they're shitty. Just wanted to make a thread about Disney being shitty cuz I was watching Lion King.  5cF9Biq.png
