The West Side Story Remake Has Found Its Maria (With a Voice So Incredible You'll Think She's Lip Syncing)

17-year-old Rachel Zegler who rose to internet fame after she posted a clip of her singing A Star Is Born's Shallow has been cast in the upcoming remake of the beloved broadway classic West Side Story. She'll be playing opposite Ansel Elgort's (Baby Driver, The Fault in Our Stars) Tony. Filming is slated to begin this summer. Check out some of Rachel's covers below!

they're actually casting Hispanics (not Puerto Ricans unless they plan on changing some the story) for this film unlike the original... Rita was the only Puerto Rican.
