fáng lǐ pū dié zhěng qí / bù tài shú xī
wǎng shì rú duǎn sī duī jí / sǎ luò chuāng qián guāng xiàn lǐ
The room is laid out neatly, not all that familiar.
The events of the past are like short threads piled up, spilled in the light in front of the windows.
我 可以 接受感情已瓦解成雨
wǒ / kě yǐ / jiē shòu gǎn qíng yǐ wǎ jiě chéng yǔ
kě yǐ / jiē shòu nǐ duàn xiàn huì yǒu yì yì
kě yǐ / què hái méi yǒng qì
I can accept that [our] love has already disintegrated into rain.
[I] can accept that your disconnection will be worthwhile.
[I] can, but [I] don't have the courage yet.
yǒu méi yǒu zú gòu huí yì néng biān zhī chéng mián bèi
yǒu rú nǐ bì wān zài wēn nuǎn wǒ de bèi
wǒ zhǐ shèng xià pīn còu bù liǎo nǐ de xiān wéi
Are there enough memories to weave into a quilt?
As if the crook of your arm is warming my back.
What I have left are only fibers that cannot piece together a "you".
dā yìng nǐ huì fù xí / xìng fú chéng xù
bāo kuò nǐ xiān lí xí / bāo kuò nǐ wǒ dào bié lí
[I] promised you that [I] would study and review the program of happiness,
Including you leaving first, including you and I bidding [each other] farewell.
我 也许 还想亚麻色衬衫的你
也许 太仔细 喔
wǒ / yě xǔ / hái xiǎng yà má sè chèn shān de nǐ
yě xǔ / hái xiǎng wǒ yōng bào tài guò qīn mì
yě xǔ / tài zǐ xì / ō
I, perhaps, still think of you in your flaxen shirt.
[I] perhaps still think of [how] I embraced [you] too intimately.
Perhaps, too carefully, oh.
dāng shí wǒ men bù dǒng āi jìn yī diǎn
bù yī dìng jiāo jí chéng nuò yán
tài yòng lì jié guǒ níng niǎn chéng duàn liè diǎn / bù zài xiāng lián
At that time, we didn't understand that getting a little closer
Doesn't necessarily [mean] melding into a promise.
[We] put too much strength into it and ultimately twisted to the point of breakage, no longer joined together.
dāng shí wǒ men bù dǒng fēn kāi yī diǎn
bù yī dìng pái huái zài biān yuán
rú jīn zhǐ néng cóng zhǐ xiè qǔ dé bàn diǎn / wēi ruò guān lián
At that time, we didn't understand that separating a little
Doesn't necessarily [mean] dithering in the periphery.
Nowadays, [we] can only obtain a little bit of weak association from the paper scraps.
wǒ men shì piāo líng zài fēng lǐ de xiān wéi
zhǐ néng yuǎn yuǎn bì kāi bǐcǐ de zhōu wéi
We are fibers that drift in the wind.
[We] can only keep far, far away from each other's surroundings.
有意义: This literally says "have meaning" and so can be used to express that 1) something "is meaningful"; or 2) something "makes sense". The translation above ("be worthwhile") that I chose to go with falls in category one, but I thought I should point out the other interpretation.
离席: This literally says "leave seat", and this seat refers to one's place at a table/meeting/banquet. The lyricist chose this wording probably because, for one, it rhymes. But it can be also associated with the saying "天下无有不散筵席" (i.e. In this world, there are no unending banquets), which, rather than literal banquets, speaks to how people will always part ways at some point.
