The series had a successful start in 1999 with Super Smash Bros. on the Nintendo 64. It achieved even greater success with Super Smash Bros. Melee, released in 2001 for the Nintendo GameCube, becoming the best selling game on that system. The third installment, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, was released on theWii on January 31, 2008 in Japan, and was released on March 9th, 2008 in North America. Masahiro Sakurai has directed all three games despite HAL Laboratory handing the series to a new developer for Brawl (cr. supersmashbroswiki). The fourth installment, Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS, is planned to come out October 3rd for the 3DS and Holiday 2014 for the Wii U. It's making me nervous that there's still no word on them Chrom would be the obvious choice but I'd prefer the custom character from awakening since they can use magic and swords and all we have is swordsman in brawl from FE. Melee was a lot faster and built for competitiveness, whereas Brawl was slowed down to allow for new people to join the action more easily. Sakurai said the new one is going to be the bridge between those two I use Shiek, Captain Falcon and Ike in Brawl, used Captain Falcon and Ganondorf in Melee, and Ness in the original Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Oliver 22,442 Posted June 11, 2014 Share Posted June 11, 2014 (edited) I'm still surprised at the fact that Ness, Jigglypuff & Captain Falcon werent announced.. theres also Falco, Ganondorf, Ice Climbers, Mr Game & Watch although he did show up in the Pac-man trailer.. I don't know.. also im genuinely impressed by the Miis I knew they were gonna be included but i didnt think itll be like this.. I love it.. As for the ones I still want to be in the game.. 1. Daisy (Super Mario) how amazing would it be to have her in her mario strikers outfit.. she could be the sporty version of peach! 2. Toad (Super Mario) I have no idea why he is not in the game.. He is my go to character in both mario party and mario kart! :( 3. Krystal (Starfox) I've been wanting this ever since Starfox Assault </3 4. Bomberman.. one of my favorite games growing up! 5. Banjo & Kazooie It really broke my heart when Nintendo sold Rare to Microsoft.. they made literally the my favorite non mario games for Nintendo 64 ever!!
