So the news for all these new groups are coming out one by one. I feel weird. ROTY is going to be a mess this year.

I think people knew this all along. YG just threw out the 5 members thing in a couple of episodes but there were heavy indications it was always 7.

 

Some are throwing 9 out there, but I think that's just because there are so many popular trainees right now. Big Groups aren't YG's thing.

 

Bang Yedam, Junkyu and Hyunsuk are locks everyone feels.

 

Most think the rest of the lineup depends on the concept. Some people think YG may go more pop/youthful/flower boy (or a YG version of flower boy). They literally put out a "Flower Film." He said at the beginning of the show he wanted to do something different.

Or he could go more traditional "YG style" boy group.

 

What he decides will dictate the members. There are trainees ranging in age from 14 to 22, so they all won't fit together.

 

But Yedam, Junkyu and probably Hyunsuk fit both concepts.

So will they be debuting in 2020? I'm asking bc WINNER and IKON both debuted a year after their shows.

WINNER debuted about 9 months after WIN.

 

I think the calendar dictated iKON because 2015 was BIGBANG's official farewell with the MADE series that took up most of the year.

I don't know why, but i can actually see him debuting this group and not just a broken promise. 2019 will be a BG year.

prob cause he has more in this lol i mean these are al his trainees so he wont have to give payouts to other companies

Was about to say this.

 

That's why people think he may go in a different direction concept wise based on some of the things he said in the beginning.

 

As it stands the trainees that are left could fit one or the other. But it'll depend on the members. Fresh/youthful/pop or hip-hop/edgy/mature.

 

There only 3 trainees left that'll fit both.
