cr: Kimheenim.

I'm so happy!!! I knew Heechul liked hide since he sang "Pink Spider" during a concert a few years ago, but this is gold.

I love X-Japan. I love hide. And although I don't know them as much, I really like Malice Mizer too (but I get confused easily with their different singers).

I wish Heechul would release a rock album. It would be so good!!

I will stop spazzing now.

Edit:

Some informations:

The first picture is hide: He was the lead guitarist of X-Japan and also a solo singer. He died in may 1998.
The second picture is Malice Mizer: The group is now disbanded (2001). There were three eras corresponding to three different singers (Tetsu, Klaha and Gackt). The drummer, Kami died in 1999.

And here are the links to the related thread in the J-music section. Please, go to them, I feel alone there!  :._.:

One of the few reasons I got interested in Heechul and eventually Super Junior when I first got into kpop...and one of the few reasons why Heechul is still my fave despite me giving up on the rest of super junior

I remember Heechul being mesmerized by Gackt when he performed in a past gayo daejun.

it was MKMF07 but lololol heechul looked like he just witnessed Jesus coming back

when kpop meets jrock ...

If we are talking about fan service, then Kpop is nothing compared to Jrock!!! Suju are quite good at it though, but when it's about making out, Heechul is almost at the Jrock level.  :hurr:  Hangeng, Siwon, Henry, Sungmin, Jungmo, Kyuhyun... Did I miss someone?

I've always thought Heechul would make a great jrock artist after seeing this performance of his here:

There is also this (the sound and image are awful): Pink Spider (hide)

Crazy:

With Jang Geun Suk:

I think Heechul looks japanese (visual kei) rather than korean from the start. Esp. in "Twins" MV.

I agree so much with this! Heechul could have been born Japanese. He was totally into Visual Key at the beginning.

"when kpop meets jrock"

zea's minwoo works with a jrock dude all the time

Heechul is not the only one, of course!  It was just on his instagram today so I made a thread about him, but there are lots of other links between Kpop and Jrock.

Changmin singing Rusty Nail (X-Japan)

Jaejoong's undying love for Hyde (L'arc-en-ciel, Vamps); He also liked X-Japan a lot when he was younger

Glamorous sky

One of his song, "Modem beat" on the WWW album was composed by Glay's Takuro.

Yunho cited X-Japan, and their song  "Endless rain" as a music reference. (Interview translated here)

And these are just the persons I follow.

Heechul's giving minor worshiping, he would've gone into full prayer mode if it wasnt for the fancams lol

*Imagines Heechul worshiping someone (other than Asuka or Anna)*

*Dies*

The first time I watched this, I wasn't into kpop. I watched it for gackt. I didn't know who heechul was at that time and when I saw him I thought "damn, gackt has this guy whipped". Lololol

I can't blame Heechul. Gackt is just amazing. Just how is that man a real person? I bet he would love to perform with Gackt one day

Oh, don't you know? HE'S AN ALIEN? I mean, the older he is, the younger he looks!  :omg:

And maybe this a lil bit OOT but THIS performances below really WOWs me since I'm a Kpop fan who also grow with Jrock

Oh, I didn't know Jonghyun did that! I think his voice wasn't quite high enough, but still, I'm happy that more Kpop idols like Jrock! And Hyde has to be one of the most difficult voices to cover.

I knew the other two, though. Jaejoong basically worships Hyde, so it had to happen one day.  :ninja:

And I'm still impressed by Changmin every time I watch this video. He was perfect, the guitarist was perfect (X-Japan's soli are not the easier to reproduce...). And Changmin's voice matches Toshi's in a way I didn't think was possible.

There is this video too. It's not really the same since he's not singing, but since I found it on Yoshiki's twitter, I will say it's relevant   :derp:

It begins at 4'15

Can't find fault in his taste really. X Japan is still in my playlists and it's been a decade already. Jrock has had some legendary bands really and now I sit here imagining Heechul trying something like Malice Mizer's more creepy stuff ( it's all pretty dark but some :derp: )

Once again, this have nothing to do with Heechul but, talking a crossover between Kpop and Jrock always fascinates me!

Well of course Hyde's vocal still better. But still... THE FEELS, MAN! THE FEEEELLLLSSS!!!  :ahmagah:  :ahmagah:  :ahmagah:  :ahmagah:

We all know Changmin can reach high notes and his head voice are mind blowing but It's amazing to know that what he doin in this perform can reach the standard of X Japan itself. His head voice on the chorus is reaaaaaaally sounds like Toshi. O M G

Oh and looks like J-music also booms in Korea back then I guess? Appearently Chanyeol also listened to Laruku, Siam Shade, and X Japan

Oh and I heard Jang Geun Suk also listened to Japanese songs from artists like Laruku and Ken Hirai. And that's what makes him so excited when releasing his Japanese single  :ahmagah:
