I just started the anime (up to episode 27 now).

Question, is Lucy gonna be completely useless throughout or is it just in the beginning?

I didn't really get the latest chapter, I kind of wonder what happened at the end of it.

 

 

I haven't seen any episodes of the anime... In the manga she's useless for long parts but she becomes a bit more useful.

OMG I JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS SHOW 4 DAYS AGO AND IT'S LIKE THE BEST ANIME EVER LIKE I DON'T EVEN WATCH ANIME'S ALOT BUT I'M SO GLAD I SAW THIS ON NETFLIX. I started watching the dub on netflix but moved on to just subs once I ran out of dub episodes, I'm currently on episode 140 so I'm almost doneee

Hmm just the beggining, at least in my opinion. I know when I first started the anime I thought her magic was so lame and stupid compared to the others and it was annoying that she would be the least powerful. But as she gets more celestial spirits she gets more useful and I actually started to like her power, like the bond she has with her spirits and how they care for her reminded me of something like pokemon.

kinda miss the anime especially the ost, probably the anime with the best ost.

hopefully there's a new season though, i don't want them to stop halfway through since many anime has been doing that and never have any plans on airing a new season which annoys me quite abit.

the manga is pretty good but sometime the drawing confuses me. it looks complicated at times especially during a battle.

 

i also miss erza's voice actress too

On July 11th, the creater Hiro Mashima announced a sequel series of the anime has been greenlit but that's about it... but two OVA's have been released since the last episode aired, the OVA's are pretty entertaining. Are you going to watch the movie as well? I didn't like the movie to be honest, but that's just me. I ended up reading the manga to see what happened after the last episode in the anime even though I don't like mangas, but I'm glad that they're at least still continuing the story for now.

 

This is kind of off-topic but the way they handle Lucy's character kind of annoys me, like they say she has all this magic power and how some of her spirits can come freely without her summoning them from her keys when they sense she is in danger, but when she's really helpless they never come out >__>. She's still my favorite character though.

I'm planning on watching the movie after finishing the series. 

I don't think I'll like it very much either since -correct me if I'm wrong- it's not a story/arc from the manga. I feel like whenever the do that (Daphne Arc + Key of the Starry Sky arc), it's never as good as what was on the manga; mainly cause it's obvious they made the arc only for the purpose of filling up the show. 

I just hope they don't take forever to release more episodes.
