Do your political beliefs affect your interest in kpop?

It’s kpop it’s not that deep.

It's a multimillion dollar industry that struggles with its own internal matters of hierarchy, sexism, and xenophobia among other things, I'd say it's pretty deep. To simplify an industry so nuanced and complex would be a disservice to it.

You say that but you keep arguing on here all the time

I don’t connect it to politics:derp: I’m glad you keep track of what I do :derp: but talking on a forum is not the same thing as me connecting to some politics but nice try I’m sure sure you thought you did something.

Question : Do you find that your political views will change whether you stan a certain group or not, who you choose to interact with, or who you stan, etc?

Me: Kpop is not that deep (that it can cause any such reaction in me so much as to affect my political leaning)

Dumbfucks who lack comprehension : having discussions on the forum IS THE SAME THING AS LETTING KPOP AFFECT YOUR POLITICAL LENAING KEKEKEKEEK HYPOCRITE

The lack of comprehension is astounding.

I’m not sure how this correlated to your original question of whether my political opinions will change or is affected based on kpop. Any entertainment or even otherwise has many flaws I don’t really understand what you’re asking. My political opinion to clarify don’t not depend on the pop music I listen to.

It didn't, it was explicitly a response to your former statement. The question I was originally asking was whether your political beliefs affected the way you interact with kpop, fans and artists alike.

And I repeat kpop is not that deep that I have politically motivated reaction to it. It isn’t even my country that I can have a politically fueled reaction to it.

Nope, I'm a right-winger (Libertarian would be the closest descriptor) with strong beliefs in the definitions on borders and Anti-Illegal Immigration, Anti-Radical Feminism, though less so on the latter than I was in the past (normal feminism is good though) and I stan BTS, and most of the members of BTS are to the left of me 0u0plz.png

my values lol

Well I have very strong socialist/communist views, so I'm aware that being into Kpop is pretty at the opposite of what I should like and enjoy, given that it's an ultra-liberal ultra-capitalistic & ultra-exploitative industry, but people are full of paradoxes, that's life. If anything, it gives me an extra edge to be able to criticize it even more and acknowledge the many ways in which this industry is fucked up. But a girl still has biases to love and support too, it's not that simple ok ohpressor.png

That's really interesting! So why would you say that despite Kpop being an uber-capitalist industry you still choose to support it, even with such strong personal views?
