Like those ages 12 and below shouldn't have SNS accounts yet.

Or what do you think is an acceptable age to allow a kid freedom to post what they want?

If they aren't mature enough, yeah. Parents should pay attention to their kids and be aware of what they do on the Internet

In a perfect world, yes. Most sites require you to be 13 years old or older to create an account, but there’s obviously no way to prevent people from making accounts anyways because they can’t check something like that and it’s incredibly easy to lie (most people don’t care about the terms and conditions anyways, though).

Since kids will make accounts anyways, I do think it’s up to the adults in their life to teach them about internet safety and probably monitor their accounts until they’re about 13-15 or prove to be responsible. I don’t think they should have public accounts, though - just private accounts where they can add their friends and family. There are so many creeps out there that will look at their pictures and try to message them.

To be honest I wasn't on sns until I was an adult. I didn't feel ready when exposed to it.

Yes. If I become a parent (probably in 10 years) I wouldn't allow my kid (14 below) to use social media.

Yeah, I'm just wondering where some kids' parents are.

But what's your opinion on it?

I think they should at least be teens before they're active on SNS personally. But either way if I was a parent, I'd monitor their activity very closely
