Yoonability 4,159 Posted January 6, 2019 Share Posted January 6, 2019 My dad is such an insensitive jerk :/ I really try to be considerate and not anger him, but it's like walking on eggshells all the time, he's so sensitive and he just expects us to do whatever he wants and cater to all of his whims meanwhile we cannot even ask him to turn the tv down or he'll throw a fit, it's ridiculous and I'm sick of behaving that way so I stopped but it hasn't improved our relationship. I feel like so many people I know have this kind of relationship with their father, it's absolutely ridiculous, they're grown men, not children. I had to vent since there's nowhere I can lol. I think I heard my parents arguing as I left, I feel sorry for my mother but I think she should've stood up to my father more when she was younger (perhaps she didn't because it just wasn't the thing you did, back then, I know she loves him but she puts up with far more for him than he does for her) and then he wouldn't be so stubborn. Ugh, how was your day OH? Sometimes he apologizes if he's in the wrong, but mostly he just brushes over it. He always fights with my mother over petty things and call her names and I hate it. When I was younger he used to do the same to me and it destroyed my confidence but he stopped and things got a little better. Now I think he's getting worse again but luckily he's not lashing out at me or my brother.
