Twice winning both Physical and Digital Bonsang again

Recommended Posts

I am happy GDA started to give both physical and digital bonsang award to the artists who deserve them.

I remember being annoyed back in the day when SNSD only ever won either digital or physical Bonsang never both of them even though salewise they would have definitely deserved to win both.

others too deserved to win both, but GDA changed their strategy only recently.

Those achievements remain, regardless a gda award.

Congratulation Twice. 2018 was probably their best year since debut because they have consolidated their position.

Congrats

Only Nations' Girl Group can. dave.png

Curious fact: Lee Seunggi, CNBLUE, TWICE and BTS are the only artists who won both Bonsang in GDA, but TWICE and BTS are the only ones who have won it 2 consecutive years or 2 times. We're going for the 3rd year!

That's cause of recent rules change. If GDA had the same rules since the beginning many other groups would have the same.

These award shows need to have male and female group separate daesangs for physicals. It should be fairly obvious that girl groups cant compete with the fandom power of boy groups, and album sales is because of fandom strength, nobodies buying it for the music. So they might as well level the playing field and reward the girl group who does the best in a "separate but equal" way.

I don't think that is a factor, since we all know that being strong in digital and physical is very difficult. Lee Seunggi did it in 2009 and CNBLUE in 2010.

I don't think this is necessary, because if not they will also separate the digital bonsang to be "fair" for the boy groups that are not only BTS, EXO, WINNER and BIGBANG. It would not be nice to see a girl group that sells 30k copies to win physical bonsang and a boy group that reaches #50 of the charts to win a digital bonsang. It's much better that those who have very great physical/digital sales are those who win the bonsang, and if we want to see girl groups winning physical bonsang then the fandoms start buying more copies of their albums, it's simple.

There doesn't need to be separated digital between male and female. Everyone accepts album sales is silly to compare between boy and girl groups, but digitals - if the general public likes a song it doesn't matter what gender it comes from. There is no inherent bias.
