VANTE 4,595 Posted July 6, 2017 Share Posted July 6, 2017 hi, i'm a huge noob just getting into jpop. so far i really like wednesday campanella and perfume, so recommendations along this line are great. i practically know no other japanese artists, except some akb stuff, so any thing from the most entry level to the deepest cuts work for me. for reference, i like western artists like grimes, chvrches, m83, kavinsky, bleachers, purity ring, passion pit, etc. i love electronic, synthy stuff any recommendations would be awesome, thanks! Kibou 0 Posted September 2, 2017 Share Posted September 2, 2017 (edited) After going through the majority of this thread i'm still gonna ask some recommendations I really love babymetal (but strongly dislike for example perfume), currently looking for upbeat songs, nothing wrong with slower ones but just not looking for them. Also fan of onelifecrew, shiho nanba ect. I am very picky on voices, and easily dislike them, if you have a group where you weren't sure about the vocals from the start I probably won't like them. I like energy in my songs but that doesn't necessarily mean EDM, in western music i'm a big rock fan. I saw this song maybe last year or early this year but could only find it on vimeo... the band was sorta metal style with a female lead and a guy doing screaming. their name was something "No Mask" im pretty sure. Pretty sure at least one of them wore a mask or you never saw the womans face. Some of the artists I liked before I got heavily into K-Pop were Ayumi Hamasaki, Meisa Kuroki, and Koda Kumi especially the song she did with DBSK (Last Angel which was how I got into K-Pop in the first place).
