For the new year I decided to make a thread for Ebidan groups! This'll be for groups other than Bullet Train and Dish// who already have their own threads.

EBIDAN is the male idol section of STARDUST. They have many groups and trainees. These are their current active groups:

Battle Boys


Battle Boys is basically the trainees, they've added Battle Kids so now the under 13 kids can be involved in it too. Go on the website to see the boys. You can vote for your favorite 5 times a day. Popular boys from this have been added to M!LK, are put in possibly permanent groups and release senbatsu singles. There's Battle Boys groups from Tokyo, Osaka, Naogoya, Sendai, Fukuoka and Okinawa.

^ Yes they have a ton of groups, maybe too many.  I didn't really think of it until I had to list them all lol.
 
So anyway despite having all these boys Stardust is looking for new members of PrizmaX outside of the agency.  It says any age and any nationality so like if anyone ever wanted to be a Japanese idol.....laugh.png
 
M!LK updated with info and videos about their first album with 7 members.

 

Also Tsuyoshi from Super Dragon is playing a trouble child in 3-nen A-gumi and it's cracking me up.

Stardust ch put out a video with the boys who are celebrating their coming of age day today (EBiSSH's KOHKI and NAOYA and Super Dragon's Reo). It was fun.

 

 

I noticed that Battle Boys' ebidance was in the Oricon daily top 10 yesterday.  It was released back in March.  I guess they must have had an event.

Yeah I hope someone does.  I feel like it's cursed because ppl just automatically assumed someone would sub it.

 

I think one n only will continue, I remember reading that they were assigned a group color (from the video it seems to be red?) and there was something else that I saw that made me feel that way but I forget what it was lol

 

I didn't want to update without news so...

 

 

Ryubi from M!LK will be on Sukatto Japan.  Also it was his 15th birthday today.

 

Edit: I also saw that Yumiki Yamato from Battle Boys Osaka and Takada Hyouga from Sakura Shimeji will be in the same episode of Sukatto Japan.

so many dramas are getting subbed so i personally assumed since its one of the most interesting  dramas of the winter season someone will pick it and it has Masaki Suda in it so good acting is guaranteed! i hope someone picks it up

Yes they had release events on the 13th, 14th, 20th and will have another on the 27th.  For a single from March haha....

So I made a post about it already but yay Super Dragon released their PV promoting their album:

 

 

 

Also, Koki from Supdra and Kenshin from SBC are both in the running to be voted most popular ikemen in Popteen

 

 

Whoever wins gets a three page spread.  I think Koki probably has a good chance of winning but idk who the other guys are so for all I know there could be someone more popular there.

 

As I was talking about above, Battle Boys are still running release events for Ebidance and they announced more dates in February.

They will be live streaming the Battle Boys 3rd stage members tomorrow at 7:00 PM Japan time:

 

DAN JYO launched their official website.  This is Stardust's first mixed dance unit.  All the boys in it are from Battle Boys. right now they're mostly the opening acts for other groups.  I like Aloha the most, mostly because his name is Aloha lol

I realized I was confused about Battle Boys (and I still am lol).  They're going to release Ebidence for the 4th time in March. Yeah that's right singles with the same A side song but with different members every time so that they can keep having events and stuff.  It's pretty confusing to me laugh.png

 

 

They announced their 3rd stage senbatsu.  From the east it's two boys from Tokyo: Muto Jun, Nagano Ryota, two from Sendai: Sasahara Haruma and Koizumi Kohzaku and one from Nagoya: Ranju.  From the west it's three from Osaka: Kida Naoya, Yumuki Yamato and Tokui Tachi, Sakutaro from Fukuoka and Kouei from Okinawa.  They will be releasing 7 versions of this single.

 

They also mentioned that they'll announce stuff about Battle Kids at the Battle Boys concert in July which seems like a long time from now...

 

M!LK released their new album and sold 18k the first day and then... not so much the second haha.

 

Also Dan Jyo got their own blog:

 

Interesting to me because there are EBiDAN groups like EDAMAME BEANS, ZEBRA STAR and Starmen Kids who've been around for a long time but don't have their own blogs.  Then again it makes sense because Dan Jyo isn't totally and EBiDAN group...

They just started activities as HONGÂ¥O.JP last year after MAGiC BOYZ disbanded, then in December last year they lost another member (Joe).  They were working hard to learn about writing music and lyrics but when Joe left he wrote that he actually wasn't really interested in hip hop so it was extra hard for him to put a lot of effort in to learning more about it.  So idk maybe the other boys felt that way too.  I hope Toma and Ryuto stay with Stardust, for their ages (17/18) they've been doing this for a really long time....

^^ Yeah it just makes me think about how for these groups (I mean idol groups in general) it's been decided for them what they're going to do and what sort of image they're going to have.  Some groups can be fine with that and grow and eventually shape their own image but some eventually just outgrow it I guess.

Super Dragon released their album this week!  And I HIGHLY recommend it obviously.  You can listen to it on Spotify.

 

In more Super Dragon news Raku is going to be on Sukatto Japan next week

This is apparently top secret because Stardust has decided not to officially announce it (this tweet is about the other kid that's in it...) but I'm happy to see him get solo work.

This is a few days ago now but Tsuyoshi made this modelpress list!

 

 

ofc it's because his fans went all out and voted for him and the number of votes isn't even that great (under 1000) but still he made it so good for him!  He only had a few less votes than Katayose who has a much larger fanbase and they're the only two students from 3A who made it so pretty impressive.

 

Since I decided to devote myself 95% to Super Dragon news only.  They did a collab with Frito Lay on a chip flavor:

Kevin and Hidetoshi are both from Stardust's Super Vocalist audition.  I'll link to it here because it took me a while to find and it's subbed and everything so it's pretty intresting:

 

It was downvoted pretty hard because of angry Bullet Train fans who thought the winner was going to replace Koichi or something idk...

ZeBRA☆STAR is adding new members AGAIN.

 


 

They moved Kousei from RED to BLACK, kept Night in RED but also added him to BLACK (what??), and added two new members to RED (Hikaru and Raiki).

 

Now that I understand more about Battle Boys, ZeBRA☆STAR is the group I understand the least!  Their work seems to mostly consist of very small fan meetings (which imo is kind of creepy...), their lineup is not stable and when they get new members they don't come from the Battle Boys pool... which I kind of get because honestly the kids in Battle Boys are probably better off there.

 

Speaking of Battle Boys they posted some pictures to their twitter that makes it seem like they're shooting something:

 


 

The boy on the right is Naoya who is frequently at #1 on the voting page.  It would be strange for it to be a PV since they JUST released a single.  We'll see!

 


 

There are always tons of Battle Boys videos being posted on their youtube but I'm posting this one because Koi no Ding Dong is a very cute song...
