Dorm in college the rent here is ridiculous and you'll go broke getting an apartment plus the dorms are safer, and you'll have campus life and parties and all that. What in your opinion would be the best borough to live, I know Manhattan is the most expensive but it's also the closest to fashion stuff. Like would living in the garment district really be awful? I mean if u move to northern Jersy like Hoboken it's still close enough. I just moved to nyc couple months ago for work. I think you should live in college dorm for first semester to see how things go. If you find some one to get along well with you could ask them to move out with you, it's cheaper that's way. Brooklyn is nice to live but a bit pricey, so Queen isn't a bad choice (depend on areas) You should visit 7th Ave, it's a fashion district, most of fashion brand headquarters are there, and all of the fabric stores, fashion related stuff... Stay in one of the FIT dorms, at least for your first year. Enjoy NYC --- you'll be just a few long blocks from Korea Town. Is it worth it to bring my car?
