For a 4 member group their popularity is honestly incredibly balanced out, Lisa is the obvious frontrunner globally and Jennie in Korea but they're very equal compared to some other groups in the past especially. Not sure about Wendy and I agree that Jihyo is rising a lot. Maybe she's still one of the least popular members comparatively but she's been getting a lot of attention for her visuals and dance. And yeah, I don't think Miyeon is that popular even though I like her visual but there are simply standouts in her group. I would really say people tend to stan visual. The visual is always the one of the most popular and that goes for just about every group minus BP and BTS and maybe a few more I can't think of immediately (but in BTS's case Tae is kinda considered the visual so it's complicated). Jisoo is more popular than her in Korea, China (second most popular after Lisa) Thailand (Jisoo is the second most liked after Lisa) and then Philippines (Jisoo is not the most popular it's Lisa and Jennie but according to all my filos friends Rose is the least popular there) oh in Japan Jisoo is also more popular. Yes, Jisoo is a lot more popular and well-known in Korea (I never said Rose was more popular in Korea lol, it's pretty obvious) and China (after Lisa) but I kinda just assumed from general international buzz (definitely including Western countries) and to an extent from Instagram followers and YT views, that Rose was more popular - if they are not equal. I'm not really into this analysis stuff so I only know what other people say, by that I do know Jennie is popular in Philippines, Indonesia, Japan and other European countries while Lisa similarly dominates SEA countries and Western countries. I haven't seen much on Rose and Jisoo so I'll take your word for it then. Maybe I'm still stuck in their first two or so years where Rosie had so many activities and I was always seeing and hearing her everywhere... I always thought she was the most popular after Lisa (even moreso than Jennie) and I still believe her fan base is very strong but I guess she's more the type to be recognised by GP for her voice. In the end my point still stands, all 4 members of BP are very close in popularity for a 4 member girl group if we just tend to look at groups such as 4Minute and Sistar. But main vocalists don't get much spotlight outside the studio unless they're good in variety shows. Visuals take care of the looks and dancers of movement and these are the things you'll first notice in video clips and performances.
