Can you understand Aussie slang?

It's come to my attention that some people think Aussie slang is hard to understand.

But is it really?!

I've written out some phrases including Aussie slang.

These are all things i would say.

Please translate away!

  1. “Just let me whack on my Trackie dacks and we’ll go for a Macca’s runâ€
  2. “Bloody bindis I should’ve worn my thongsâ€
  3. "You look like such a derro."
  4. “Just chuck a u-ey here, mateâ€
  5. "The bastard lives out in woop-woop"
  6. “Christ Pete gives me the shitsâ€
  7. “Yeah nah i fucking reckon ayeâ€
  8. “He’s built like a brick shithouseâ€
  9.  â€œI can’t be arsed, I’m buggeredâ€
  10. "Rob say’s he too povo to come to the party tonight I’m completely devvoâ€

Obvs don't do it if you are an Aussie!!!!

LMAO this reminds me of my assignment in 4th grade to translate sections of the Waltzing Matilda using context clues. Mind you I got a D on this assignment and I had been straight A student during elementary school HAHAHA.

Let me take a crack:

1. Just let me put on my running shoes and we'll go for a run.

2. Dang it I should have worn my flip-flops??

3. You look like a fool???

4. Just spit here, friend?

5. The bastard lives in a tent??

6. Gosh Pete gave me a fright??

7. Yes I think so??

8. He's muscly.

9. I can't be bothered. I'm tired.

10. Rob says he's too cool to come to the party, I'm completely sad about it.

LMAO you can see why I got the D.

Macca's runs my fave. I understand parts of all of these phrases if not all but certain words are unfamiliar, i.e. never ever heard of bloody bindis being used even though I've certainly sat on my fair share of bindis lol far out

Also, I literally found out this year arvo is slang for afternoon I am not a true Aussie
