Yoonability 4,159 Posted December 24, 2018 Share Posted December 24, 2018 We celebrate Christmas Eve on the 24st here with the family, so today we ate a lot of yummy stuff and we unpacked our presents. We also watched The Sound of Music altogether because my mum was so exited about watching it lol it was pretty cute, normally my father and I would die having to watch something like that but my mum wanted to see it so much we all had a good time Now I'm a little bit tipsy and listening to 80's music is making me very giddy I wish it would snow here! I didn’t really feel like it was Christmas. I was also a bit disappointed with my presents (I know I sound so spoiled right now), but I didn’t really get what was on my wishlist, and a lot of the stuff, I’m thinking about returning, because I simply have no use or want for it. Getting something you can't use, or don't want to use is kinda disappointing, because you know that your family used money (maybe even a lot of it), to get you something they thought you'd really like. And when you don't, you either have to lie and tell them you're happy about it, or be truthful and say that you actually have no use for it, and would rather have gotten something else, which might disappoint them. My two aunts gave me a coffee mug, from a very expensive and luxurious brand. But I don't drink coffee, or tea, or anything else that needs a mug. And then my sister got the exact same mug. I'm thinking about either letting her buy it, or just getting the money refunded. I also got a bag from my parents. And I don't ever use bags. And even when I do, I have a couple of them at home. Honestly, the presents I'm happiest about, are tickets for an opera, a gift card for 10€ at McDonalds and a bar of chocolate. I guess that says a lot about both me and the presents.
