Ashes of Love... why are so many Chinese Rom-Fantasy dramas so beautifully tragic and heart clenching

I'm only on ep 16 but I am this close to throwing my whole TV at that snake of a brother

I've never hated a second lead character as much as I hate him lol

 

But I heard that it has a happy ending but the journey there is so painful

 

It's definitely up there with my top 3 fav rom-fantasy dramas

i read the synopsis and now i want to watch

i dont normally watch chinese dramas because most of the good and popular ones are historical and they are sooooooooooo hard to follow, ive tried to watch nirvana in fire and it's so confusing

I know what you mean, I loved this drama so much, the leads' interactions are way too adorable, I didn't hate the second lead at first though, main lead's mother made him what he became but then he went into totally obsessive phase, thats when my sympathy for him ended.

Don't give up on Nirvana in fire, you probably won't find any better Chinese drama, its confusing at first but everything will start to make sense later

eternal love/10 miles of blossom is on Netflix. Princess weiyoung is good too if you don't mind the plagiarism mess. They're not that hard to follow.

I am still mad at Guardian's ending. I don't know why c drama writers think a sad ending is the best ending. Write an ending that fits the story.

It doesn't but it has an alternate ending that got shot. I couldn't find it on anywhere but it is in a review video and that's my real ending. Also, Priest the person who wrote the OG novel wrote an extra chapter that ties the drama into her novel and it is a happy ending so..that also sooths the aching heart lol

I say, Guardian is worth it despite the shitty ending because the two main leads act the hell out of their roles and their chemistry is explosive. I am not kidding, I haven't seen such great actors in a long time and I don't think i will in the near future.

Yes, I was still going to give it a try after reading your comment bcoz the reviews about the leads and the drama overall was so positive, I mean this drama made avenue x crazy about it. Glad that it has alternate ending, looking forward to watch it

A short footage of the alternate ending is in one of Avenue X's Guardian videos. It might be on Billibilli too but I couldn't find it.

I hope you will like the drama as much as most of us do. I wish I could un-watch it just to watch it again.

xufeng is such an a+ lead

i love him so much

and jinmi is sooooo cute, i love how cute, innocent and playful she is

im so happy there is 60 episodes

i get to watch it for 60 hours
