Never judge anyone's ethnicity/nationality based on appearance. I can tell the difference between Chinese/Korean/Japanese mostly, though sometimes Chinese/Korean can be harder. I basing this of a letter he left on the communal table. I haven't really spoken to him yet properly, maybe later, but I probably won't ask him what ethnicity he is quite yet.
