Do you struggle with spelling?

I generally don't, due to my reading a lot when I was younger. But I always mix up how to spell words like occasion - the amount of s/cs confuses my brain. Also, UK/US English differences get me sometimes.

I struggle with syntax more than spelling in general though. Especially with speaking aloud I speak appalling English considering I'm meant to be fluent in it.

Not usually I read a lot when I was young too

I can tell when something is spelled wrong it just doesn’t look right lol

But then when I correct it, it still doesn’t look right and I spend 10 minuets looking to see if I spelled it right :derp:

I always struggle with commas tho like where do I put them ever smh

bah same,, OR i spend too much time looking at a certain word (example: writing an essay and repeating the topic of it throughout) and it ends up looking incorrect anyway even though it's certainly right.

YES

That happened when we got those assignments in like 1st grade(?) to write your spelling words over and over

It’s supposed to help you spell it right but every word just looked made up after a while lol

Sometimes, but every time it's painful because I realize that I can't remember it so I google the answer.

It's all fault of the "ss" and "pp" unsure.png

I read a lot when I was young (and I started to learn many languages, so  know the roots,) but I still struggle with spelling, in terms of rules. I can't handle the "ie" and "ei" situation.

i before e except after c

apart from the 47627 exceptions the english language has to this rule imstupid.png

Nope. Besides if I don't know a word, I'll look it up anyway or I'll type something close to it (especially if it's a word I've heard but don't know the written spelling of) and let spellcheck do the work. I even got really close to winning my middle school spelling bee (was somewhere in 4th or 5th place), but lost because I couldn't spell the word rendezvous since the word was new to me.
