Has cutting out meat ever helped you lose weight?

cutting meat won't help you to lose weight, only cutting certain types of meat helps. you can still eat chicken and things like that while you diet, as long as you cook them in an healthy way so not deep fried or with loads of butter/oil. generally speaking, it is better to eat boiled meat (whatever the type of meat) or vapor cooked meat rather than eating vegetables cooked in oil. 

in summary, meat is usually not the problem: the problem is the way you cook it

 

of course i'm not a nutritionist, that's just what i learned in 5 years of having ed and trying as many diets as i can

Well, in my case did help me maintain my actual weight... stop eating bread and soda help me lose weight. If in your case you think one of the villains is the meat, try reducing a little bit, it's hard, but if you have control over it it will just get better and easier.

Well you kind of need meat tbh cuz there are some essential amino acids that you can't get in plant-based products. But I guess you could use supplements if you want. But if you are losing weight there are better things to cut out like sugar and fat. Sticking to a low carb diet with lots of greens and enough meats is pretty healthy.
