Jihoon is better looking, arguably more talented, and he had both his iconic wink and jeojang. So why is it that Daniel is more popular when he's lacking in basically every aspect except maybe personality but that's debatable. Jihoon was popular from a wink before the show even officially aired and typically when fans are introduced to someone new who is shining that person will gain a lot of fans. Daniel had a lot going for him, he is a great dancer and is decent in singing and rapping so his talent stood out. He also has a good personality, good relationships on Produce 2 and had stand out moments like his pink hair and leg dance. All of this resulted in more screen time and votes and he is a really great center, he attracted people to Wanna One, it’s not like he can help that fact he was only growing in popularity. But the fact that Jihoon ranked number 2 was impressive as well because he wasn’t that pushed on the show and I know early on his fans were upset with his lack of screen time. His overall persona inciting natural instict of women to nurture him and get off on him at the same time. its hard not to fall for it. Tbh I initially wondered why jihoon popular at the first place. he got it by a wink? There must be x factor in it. As I learned more about him, Jihoon actually an interesting charachter with interesting flow in variety. He is smart and asking some good questions. He is also a very good actor. He seems to be not as much pushed throughout this 1.5 years. And being on the younger side of age, probably its still feel illegal for adult women to droll over him.
