I was about to ask what was the book about and saw this. Wow, what that review said is amazing and relatable to women from patrilineal cultures or really all cultures where males are "higher" than females. Just by reading this alone, I can see why Irene was reading it. It seems like a really good and emotional book. I can't believe she was criticised for reading this, but I'm glad that the sales skyrocketed because this book seems really good and deserves to be read by men and women tbh.
