Do most people that bash overweight people genuinely care about their health?

I notice a lot of people will turn a blind eye to all of the other unhealthy things that people do. But when it's about food and weight they'll focus all their attention on it.

I feel like for those that do do that.. they should just admit that they just don't find overweight bodies nice to look at. And that they're not genuinely concerned about overweight peoples' health.

I'm sure some people are genuinely worried though.

if it's told nicely by someone the person knows, then i think they do care

if it's bash, i doubt that

for me, the issue is that obese people deny the fact that they are not healthy and try to normalize it.. and loudly so..imo, that's one of the factors that attracts bashing

No, they don't care.

My cousing had anorexia and my family didn't say anything to her, my older sister is quite chubby but her health os great and they don't leave her alone.

It makes me sick, tbh.

Yeah and when people do bash skinny people (who may either be anorexic or completely healthy) they just don't like the aesthetic.

Most likely not. They just say that to justify their actions.

I mean if your gonna bash them, just be honest about why instead of making up this fake 'I do it because I actually care about their health' shit.

Trust me, an overwhelming majority of them truly don't care, it's just fatphobia being disguised as fake-concern.

It's disturbing, knowing bashing people over their weight is nowhere near an effective tool to make any of them lose any weight, quite the opposite. It's scientifically proven that the more you make someone feel bad and self-conscious about their weight, the more likely they are to get even fatter. Isn't that ironic. Just leave people be.
