footballfina 29,566
'Real Men' will have a Chinese remake! According to an insider in Chinese broadcasting, after Hunan Cable Broadcasting's Chinese version of 'Dad! Where Are You Going?", it's planning to air a Chinese version of 'Real Men' as a follow up. It's already talked to MBC about importing the format of the show, and the talks have pushed forward recently and the show may start airing from the 4th quarter of this year. Hunan Broadcasting didn't deny that a Chinese version was in the works, but also said that they could not reveal any details because it was in the beginning stages of production. MBC also said, "It's true that we signed a contract on exporting the format last year. If everything goes to plan, the Chinese version of 'Real Men' will air during the second half of the year. We haven't been told if it's in production yet, but the staff on that side is probably in prepartions right now."

Hero 899
Probably won't be as successful in China as it is in Korea, since there is no mandatory military enlistment in China, and this entire 'military culture' doesn't exist. The reason why the show is doing so well in Korea is mainly because of patriotism/being easy to relate to. Seriously doubt it will translate well to Chinese broadcasting.
