Pick 1 and why?

Mine has to be Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix:

- intro the Umbridge's character

- intro to Luna's character

- intro to Hagrid's half brother Grawp

- the students learn to fight back (the beautiful patonuses~)

- Neville's parents - sad story :'(

- finally more development with the Voldemort story (prophecy)

- death of Sirius

(the first two movies were great too, but I feel like this movie is when things are finally moving forward...)

Chamber of Secrets- It's nostalgic and I enjoyed the mystery around discovering who opened the Chamber of Secrets.

Goblet of Fire-  Harry competing in the wizard tournament, the Yule Ball sequence, the entrance of the different magical schools

Prisoner of Azkaban- Harry finally maturing and wanting to venture out on his own, Hermione's time turner,  Hermione punching Draco, and Harry and Hermione saving Sirius Black

My favorite, both book and movie wise, is "The Goblet of Fire":

+ I have a huuuuge childhood sentiment towards this movie (mostly thanks to the official website and its games)

+ I love the tournament theme.

+ Introduction of important teenage characters in Harry's life (Cho, Cedric).

+ Learning something about other European schools of magic.

+ THE PROM AND EVERYONE LOOKING STUNNING.

+ It had a lot of comic reliefs, even if some weren't included in the book (e.g. Neville and his "I killed Potter" thing or learning how to dance).

+ Long hair era for boys.

 + The effects are gorgeous.

+ Things get serious in this one (although "The Prisoner of Azkaban" was pretty serious as well).

The Prisoner of Azkaban:

- My favorite HP character is Remus Lupin and the 2nd one is Sirius Black, so it helps a lot

- I love the way some of the scenes were filmed: the boggart class, Remus talking to Harry about his parents (many people wouldn't think anything special about this scene, but I love the melancholy feels it gives), the divination classes, Draco adding fun here and there with his stupid comments (and Hermione punching him in the face is iconic)...

- This movie was criticized because Alfonzo Cuaron took more freedom than Chris Columbus with movies 1-2... but on the contrary I love everything he's done with this movie. The scenery is darker but stunning (the small transitions between seasons, Hogsmeade, everything really) and looks better than in the previous movies imo. The way the whole movie was filmed depicts Harry's feelings and it's beautiful to see rlytearpls.png

- Bonus because it has more to do with the way JK Rowling wrote the books but still: less Voldemort = more focus on others things.

- This soundtrack, my favorite ever from HP:
