Aaron Yan Lost His Appetite and Worries About How Others View Him

Last month, Taiwanese artist Aaron Yan (炎亞綸) was accused of dating three men at the same time, and his sexual orientation was revealed as a result. After the news broke out, Aaron opened up about the hardships he faced because of his sexual orientation and became more vocal about LGBT rights. The 34-year-old accepted a large number of media interviews for the first time following the incident at a promotional event for a watch brand on December 6.

Notably thinner, Aaron admitted he only weighs 141 to 143 pounds, as he hasn’t had much of an appetite. When he does want to eat at home, he would order take out but would only manage to eat one or two bites before giving it to his agent to eat. Thankfully, he expressed his appetite is slowly recovering and he is beginning to eat as usual.

When talking about the matter, he choked up twice and said he did not contact the men he was involved with. “The more I talk about it, the more painful it will be,†he expressed.

Aaron added the event would probably affect him making friends in the future, as he “will think too much.â€

The physically and mentally exhausted star expressed he is still trying to adjust his mood. “A lot of things happened, when I look back on it now, it’s really impossible for a person to admit it,†Aaron shared. “It’s like going to a new swimming pool, you’d have to test the water temperature, depth, and your physical strength first.â€

He also posted on his Instagram story that he is “still adapting to the gazes of other people on the road, still adjusting to the thoughts of those at work or outside.â€

“Sometimes when someone is looking at me, I will wonder what he’s thinking about, I don’t know how he thinks of me,†Aaron said.

Aaron has openly talked about his anxiety and mental health issues in general so when I read the translation of his first interview after he was outed and saw that he said his anxiety got worse and he has a problem trusting people more than ever, I was crushed for him. Can't help but to feel a huge injustice was done to him, just because somebody wanted to get back at him and had to resort to lies and public outing without his permission to achieve his revenge. Horrible. Poor Aaron.

I feel so sorry for him. I am glad his fans are next to him and I hope he gets professional help if he feels like everything is too much.

Man I felt soooo bad for him when he was outed and now this...I'm srsly worried abt his mental health. I wish for the best of him and he deserves some justice from this whole situation

Feel bad for him. 

Especially since the same sex marriage law didn't pass in that recent vote. Shows that there are still many ppl against LGBT rights in Taiwan.
