Janet Jackson has done it!

After non-three consecutive years on the nominees ballot, the Queen of Pop has been confirmed for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.

One of the highest honors attainable for any musician, Jackson’s entry is notable on several fronts.

Full story below…

Leading the list, the superstar singer and the following make up the class of 2019:

Janet Jackson
Def Leppard

Stevie Nicks
The Cure
Radiohead
The Zombies
Roxy Music

***********

Though eligible for over a decade (2007), Jackson was first put on the longlist for the class of 2016. Snubbed then, she would go on to be nominated for entry in 2017 – but was again shut-out

Third time’s clearly a charm, because Ms. Jackson is officially set for the coveted Hall.

Perhaps it’s divine timing, as her entry will tally with the 30th anniversary of her groundbreaking and game-changing ‘Rhythm Nation’ album.

In being welcomed into the Hall, the diva joins an elite list of names including brother Michael Jackson, Madonna, and Prince.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2019 Induction Ceremony, presented by Klipsch Audio, will be held at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on March 29th 2019.

Congrats to Janet and all the other inductees!

Your thoughts?

My first thought was why?

I mean even the article calls her Queen of Pop so why is she included into Rock & Roll Hall of Fame but then I saw that Madonna, Michael Jacson etc.. were also included so I guess it isn't just Rock & Roll but more like a general Musician Hall of Fame. Maybe they should change the name?

Well anyway congrats for Janet Jackson since it seem to be much bigger deal than I thought I mean the article said "One of the highest honors attainable for any musician"
