Hello my peeps!!!

I think i need advice pratically about college and other stuff lol

I found out im under financial aid suspension because i withdrew two classes at the time i was dual enrolled and i just turned in the appeal like a month ago

It will be reviewed under 6 weeks as of now i know nothing

Also i found out im eligible for a scholarship in which i already applied to, but they said they will evaluate it.

For this scholarship, it says even though i may not be applying for the 2014-2015 year, it will still be available for me after 2 years once i have graduated from high school

As of now i havent gotten any notice from them on how much i will eligible for lol

Also my community college has given me an offer where they i can apply for their program in which they can pay for me for two full years. They can pay for my classes but not for my books lol

On top of that when i told one of my parents that my financial aid was under suspension, he went fucking berserk!

He yelled at me and shit! Calling me a damn loser thinking ima end up in the streets. Like r u shitting on me wtfff

But do you think its a good idea if i take a 6 month break before starting college ?? I was thinking about it and i think i should because im under all of this stress and shit lol

But my dad thinks ima end up in the street working for nothing when its not the damn case

Im going to a community college and its pretty cheap lol

I feel for you.. Uni is so stressful, I would advise to take a break. Stress isn't good for your health

Your parents need to be more supportive  :wut:

you should see what your instinct is telling you. I mean i am done with school now (hopefully forever) and i am most probably going to take a gap year to see what i will be able to do with life (cause i dont know, especially the last year of high school f***** me over and i lost all meaning to life ).

dont know if you needed my small talk there, but if you feel like you need to take time to sort things out do it, i mean like look your parents are not the ones going to live the life for you and at the end of the day you decide what you do with your own mind set, emotions and your body. but if you do decide to take some time off make sure you make goals and try to stick to them, look around things, try out different things like maybe go ask uni/colleges if they can allow you to go to some lectures to see if you really like the thing you want to do, also taking off time will allow you to sort out all the other stuff like scholarships and aid thing etc.

I hope it works out for you. btw if you do indeed decide to take time off, talk to your parents as soon as possible if you can (they will prob be unhappy, mine were, but soon they should accept it and let you decide to do things, but do make a plan if you really decide to take off the time)

sorry for the repetition. good luck :) i am rooting for you, so it works out in whatever leads you to success and happiness :)

Sometimes taking a break from it all is the best option, I can see you are stressed.. get motivated and get back to into it after a break..

Don't speak ill about your parents after all they are still people you can hope for love and support ^^

Happened to me not good at all...

Six month break isnt bad at all. When you are about to enroll college, the last thing you need is stress and if you feel to take a sixmonth break to feel less stress, then go for it. Don't sit around the house all day if you plan on taking month break. Get a job and make some money. Good Luck!!!!!  :chu:

yea one of my parents did make snark comments at me as well, sometimes it still happens but not as often. i used to let it bother me but i learned to filtered and counter attack (i try not to do it in rude way) one of my parents has little trust in me :( but i am going to show that i am strong and that i can reach goals if i set them (but i do want to have my holidays too since i ve only been done with school)

there also isnt a rush to plunge into something with all these piled up emotions and stuff. and getting a job is really good start at getting experience in different areas, so good luck also with the work :) (you shall do great :)
