HELP! Requesting users who are proficient with Gaon Albums chart

I really hope someone can help me out here, I have a question regarding Gaon Albums Chart. (I guess it applies to the entire site overall)

What does the 6 (written in red) mean on the charts? That is moved up six places?? or that the album was in the 6th spot at one point??

Also, what about the 7 in blue, and the "NEW" written in yellow? I have an idea but I can't be entirely sure on my own.

Is it possible that an album from 2013, 2012 or any past year could change its current position ie. the pic below is from January 2013, could "MAMA" move up or down from 10th place??? Any help would be much appreciated. :)

red = up

blue = down

from last week

MAMA was in 16th

B1A4 was in 4th

Red they went up 6 places

Blue they went down 7 places

Yeah exo can still move up and down the charts

Red is up so it means MAMA ranked 6th place higher than last time.

and blue means down.

Ahhhh I see, thank you all so much, hyohmygod your sig is just :omg:  WHAT!?? and nicky your sig almost knocked my eye out..... :smile:

Is there any way to find out what an album's peak position was? without going through like every month's chart anyway

Thank you, I think you can find out on wiki, but you can decide how much you want to trust  that, if you don't trust it you can ask in the EXO sales thread, I think they know

Thanks again Nicky, I don't really trust wiki so thanks for the alternative option. I don't think any of you guys actually answered what "NEW" means though. I assume it means that the album/song entered the chart in its current position and hasn't moved up or down yet.

And what about this one?

I should have asked in the OP, this one has me stumped. I'm assuming this means it's like "locked" in that position?? :imstupid: :imstupid:

One last question Nicky (or anyone who can answer)? Let's say, If a song from 2012 leaves the albums chart completely and suddenly re enters the chart 2 years later in a higher position than ever before, e.g. I Got a Boy peak in 2012 = 7, IGAB enters albums chart in 2014 at 6)

Would you now consider that new position the peak?? Even after so much time has passed? (i.e. Would someone have to edit Wikipedia for example, 2 years later and change the peak position to 6?)

This question is so dumb :imstupid: , it kinda sounds like I already answered it, but I have to make sure.
