The top 3 for the ‘Prefecture You Believe Has Many Beautiful Men And Women Ranking’ (from: goo ranking) are 1st: Akita Prefecture, 2nd: Fukuoka Prefecture and 3rd: Okinawa Prefecture. Even when looking at the entertainment business, Nozomi Sasaki, Natsuki Kato and Rina Ikoma are all from Akita prefecture. Kanna Hashimoto, Michiko Kichise and Hitomi Kuroki are from Fukuoka prefecture. Yui Aragaki, Yukie Nakama and Meisa Kuroki are from Okinawa prefecture. It’s a simple answer but it’s because there’s many denominators. I am so sorry if someone will be offended by this comment but the Okinawan look almost like the Native Central and Native Northern Luzon People; I went in there and they all look like Filipinos from the said part. For others info the facial feature of a Native from those said places are really different from People Native to Souther Luzon and different to Visayas and Mindanao region

Actress Yamada Yu is also from Okinawa. She and Meisa attended the same school that Namie did, I believe (Okinawa Actors School).

there's a popular belief in Japan that women from certain prefectures of Japan are beautiful. There's even the age old term "Akita bijin" because it's believed ever since the Heian era of Japan that women from Akita prefecture are supposedly the most beautiful, starting with the poet Ono no Komachi who was from there. You may have heard the term Akita Bijin 秋田美人 before in Japan. It’s a term used for really beautiful women from Akita prefecture, and some other parts of Tohoku.
