There's a rumor that Sexy Zone will join a variety show with highkey survival elements in order to improve their variety skill and such, starting in May. If they do well, they might become a regular but fans are worried that it will be really harsh on them, affecting their health and other activities. The show has something about being locked in (or out) for 3 days (?) according to my sister. 

 

The same source discusses that this show might be a sort of test to see if Sexy Zone can be the candidates to take over Arashi in the future. I really hope they do well because I'm afraid that them being one of the lowest sellers in the company for so long might affect the resources that they'll receive in the future. They've struggled with rushed debut, mismanagement and just unforseenable events in general so I hope this is their big break. Also I want to see them every week  

 

 

I want to say though, although Sexy Zone doesn't sell as much as other group, their trajectory is still on the rise. Kenty has 2 variety shows and he appears every week and Sexy Thank You just trended yesterday. FumaShori is a regular on AoharuTV. Shori is working really hard to improve his variety chara even though he's still very much a majime person. The episode where he swims is hilarious. It's on BilliBilli btw. This week also continues with him practicing swimming so do check that out. Marius is a regular on a Quiz show though he is pretty much useless when the questions are about Kanji but that's okay  I just hope Sou is taking a good break and is getting better. I have high hopes that they'll be able to take on more activities with Sou around   

I'm worried that they are more overworked than you'd think they are. If you look at their concert schedules. They have 2 concerts in 1 day, 9 days consecutively because of smaller venue but higher demands. This means they have to sing 62 songs/day. RIP. I believe that even though it's clear that they can take on domes with less dates, they're waiting for the group to be 5 and they need the ability to engage with further audience.

i really hope the show is true, they really need a hit thing ( hit drama/song/variety show ect.) to help them make a big break.

 

sexy zones single sales are rising and their concert attendance is bigger each year(so is Jwest) but there are Jr. groups gearing up for debut that are getting a lot of attention already pre-debut and are most likely gonna have a big debuts and skyrocket to the top kinda like kinpuri did so SZ have limited time to really hit it big while Johnny's is still pushing them the most

Does anyone want me to share Sexy Zone's XYZ Blu-ray here or on livejournal or in somewhere private? My sister just bought a lot of Sekuzo stuffs. I might ask my sister with encoding and everything because she is really good at it but we might upload 720p at best since we still want people to buy their stuffs. 

 

Also, is anyone in sexy_zone livejournal community? I want to find their old stuffs but it seems like the community has been inactive for too long and 5-nin-zone is too new so they don't have much.

I joined them recently and they accepted me so they still let people join. But i think you do need to have some posts on your LJ. I only have a post with some info about myself so you don't need much.

Another day, another "Sexy Zone is a Johnnys' mistake" article  The name is a mistake but the boys have worked so hard and they deserve the praise for their constant hardwork and overcome obstacles such as their group name, their age and the shit management.

SZ is not a mistake, were they the obvious choice to debut well no but Johnny's debuts dont always have to make sense they dont have some sort of measure to choose who to debut.

 

No one says arashi was a mistake or not deserving of debut (at least not anymore) but the arashi members were not the most popular juniors of their time hell Aiba and Sho were rather unpopular with Ohno and Nino somewhere in the middle of jr popularity. Hell even Jun who was the most popular of the bunch was not in the top 20 most popular jrs before their debut. They weren't the obvious or the most popular choice and it took them a long time until they had their big break (they started rising and getting attention after hana yori dango thanks to Jun and exploded in popularity after hana yori dango season 2)  but now they are at the top and have been at the top for almost 10 years now. its amazing because had you said to anyone before hana yori dango that arashi would be this big they would have laughed at your face and called you nuts.

 

Sexy zone members are still young and you never know when their big break will come and who knows maybe in 10 years in the future they will be in the same situation with arashi and become so big that no one could believe that people doubted them or called them a mistake before.

Ah no, I meant that GC is actually pretty nice to Sekuzo a lot of times. The article itself is malicious that's all. 

 

I agree with everything you said. When you think about it, most Johnnys groups are formed like 5 years before debut. Sekuzo is officially 8 years but they barely had any pre-debut exposure except for maybe FumaKen so they are like a 3 year-old group. 

 

I just get weirdly defensive because I love them a lot  

I was never this defensive for EXO (rip me).
