17 for me !! And nothing wrong with starting later, I had 22 / 23 year olds in the same class and they are doing great . Take your time and rest before going, I wish I could've done that too

I'm taking a gap year before starting university because of my anxiety issues and mental health problems. I'm going to be 19 this year and next year when I join university I will be 20. It is freaking me out that I will be 20 in my first year of uni.

Age doesn't matter in universities. You're going to have classmates ranging from 17-60, hell you might run into people older than that. You're good.

18, didn’t like my course so dropped out after finishing first year, took 2 years off travelling and then started again when I was 21

best decision I’ve ever made, I feel like they force people into going when they are 18 but I think people need more life experience and to know who they really are first

I had to take a bridging unit before the start of uni, because I didn't do biology in high school. So technically 17? I was 18 by the time I actually started my degree though. Don't worry too much about age! One of my closest uni friends who is studying at the same level is two years older than me. She's extremely smart, got a very high uni entrance score, but also took a gap year to mentally prepare herself for the workload. I really can't tell the age difference, and we get along really well.

21yo.

You shouldn't worry that much about your age. Youngest in my class were 18yo and oldest 33yo.

I mean in my class there were 18yo who came straight out of high school and then few years older ones that kept year or 2 break after high school or those who didn't managed to get in on their 1st or 2nd try.

Then there were also people who had just started working after high school thinking that they have had enough of school but then like mid or late 20s decided to come to university to get a degree.

Then there were also those who had already studied few years of something else and decided to switch degrees or even those who had already gotten degree from something else and worked for couple of years and decided to quit and come to study a new degree.

17 turning 18 when I started uni. Don't worry about it honestly. There are quite a few people who start older, more than you think. When I was in my first year of uni, I encountered some people who were significantly older, and I'm talking about 5+ years older than me.
