Why do most k-pop group insist on having a rap?

idk, i just feel like some songs wouldv'e been better without the rapping, like HISTORY's Dreamer, i liked the song and the rap but i didn't feel like it was needed. And i don't want to harm any STAR1 but i feel like Give it to me and Sistar19' s song did not need a rap. I don't hate all raps, there are obviously songs in which a rap fits in well but in most of them there should be no rap.

How many times are people going to say the same thing, they throw the rap in there so Bora has some type of usefulness.

It's why I appreciate GG's earlier title tracks.

In some cases it's so the 'dead weight' or least talented member has something to do, but I think Koreans genuinely think a rap break-down is cool. Producers probably see it as being modern and hip.

something that really bugs me until today

most of the time, rapping doesn't even fit in the song concept
