What was your biggest fear as a child and what is your biggest fear now?

For me, I was always afraid of being abandoned and alone. I had a very unstable upbringing and to this day I have a fear of abandonment. I'd say it's still my biggest fear.

I always was scared of dogs as a child, now my biggest fear is closed spaces

When I was a child, I was scared of the dark, dogs, spiders and needles. Now, I'm scared of needles, deep water, spiders, dying, fire and knives.

When I was a kid the only things I thought could kill you were murder and cancer. I literally thought cancer was the only disease people could get (different from virus sickness etc.) I used to also be unrealistically afraid to die to the point it would inhibit me from doing a lot of stuff with friends and I wouldnt sit in a car with a driver who I didnt trust.

 

Nowadays Im just scared as hell to get on a plane or boat.
