What is the test about ? Sjsjjskd

Well you should do what you can to limit the break for now, memorize the biggest points or at least reread your courses... but if you're really unprepared then I don't see what else you can do T.T

Don't be anxious in those moments, accept it and hope you'll either score some points or work harder next time

Fighting!

The Law of International Organizations lol I thought I was pretty well prepared but then I looked at a practice exam and all the questions were so ????? idk. I might be able to get a 6/10 for now, then I can try better on the resit.

Thank you babe <3

Lmao that's so relatable

Like you work super hard, memorize and exercise by yourself the lessons but the moment you try the practice exam you kind of have a reality check about what the Program really except from you sjsjsjdj

Thankfully you have a resit T.T tbh I don't know what I would have done during my first year without them

Yw <3 work hard !

wait, you get to resit exams fD4JAZe.png

All of my subjects don't allow retakes. I'd say, prepare as much as you can and go in there with the thought that you'll pass. But keep in mind that failing isn't the end of the world as you can retake the exam...

What do you do? In my country at university you can take a course from your second, third or master year(s) as long as you like. I get two chances this year (first chance + resit) and if I don't make it I can drag it all the way into my master with me lol (providing I have enough credits to get into the masters though).

we can't retake an exam, we have to sit the whole semester again rlytearpls.png

But why?? That seems so counter-productive. I mean maybe it's because your courses are more linked to one another? This course is about international law but I also have courses on national and European law, but they're entirely different levels of law that mostly don't interact with each other, so if I fail this course I can simply move on.

What if you read a little more and because of that might get better marks and totally avoid resit exams, isnt it a better option?

you never know how the questions will come out... you might do good

I think the amount of stuff I would have to read would simply be undoable tbh. I've gone through all the materials at least once and I've made notes and stuff, so I think I'll re-read my notes and that'll be it.

Most of my courses that I have to sit exams for are related to International studies and languages (Japanese), I think they want you to be able to thoroughly remember the course material to be able to move on to the next subject, my Japanese one was particularly difficult, you had to get over 55% in the exam (which was worth 50% of the final grade) to be able to at least pass the subject, I failed at first had to retake the subject (I then passed with a distinction though). idk why they have it like this here (smh maybe I should go study in the US instead)

I'm taking a double degree in International Relations and Journalism (minor in Japanese)

I'm actually in the Netherlands haha, where are you from if I may ask?

That's cool if you're studying Japanese though! I believe that the Japanese university studies have the same requirement actually, I remember that from visiting the universities for information (I was interested in studying it before but never did). It sort of makes sense that they'd want you to have that before moving on. For my courses you have to get all your credits in the one or two chances for the first year that lay down the basis of legal concepts/rules, so it's sort of similar. If you don't pass those then you can't start studying law at that university for 10 years or smth.
