Donald Trump Gets Fact-Checked By Reporter Right To His Face, Walks Away

A reporter earned praise Monday after she called out President Donald Trump, over one of his more questionable claims, right to his face.

 

CBS’ Paula Reid challenged Trump over his discredited assertion that his administration’s policy of separating migrant children from their families at the U.S.-Mexico border was the same as that conducted by former President Barack Obama.

 

“Obama had a separation policy. We all had the same policy,†Trump said. “You did not have it, sir. No, you didn’t,†Reid fired back.

 

Trump said he “tried to do it differently†and claimed “Obama had a separation policy†but â€œpeople don’t like to talk about it.†As Trump walked away, Reid said: “Sir, it was different. You decided to prosecute everyone at the border.â€

Ok but another important point is that Obama seperated families too! So are we going to argue that just cuz Obama separated less kids, that's suddenly alright with you guys? LMAO! President Trump's team just decided to enforce the law in a more rigorous manner.

 

Trump is right! They are still following the basic policies in that if you're illegally trying to cross the border you are a criminal breaking the law and you will be put in jail. Your kids will not be with you in the same cell obviously. Zero tolerance which means EVERYONE caught illegally creeping across the border will be prosecuted. Trump actually made it fair for all illegals in a way lol. He's not playing favorites by catching and releasing some illegals while detaining others like Obama's administration.

 

Why would you implement laws and not punish those criminals who break them. Just give them a slap on the wrist and let them go. Guess what!! THEY'LL JUST DO IT AGAIN! LOL! "Oh they won't punish me. I'll just try again later! I got nothing to lose!" The manufactured media outrage over this is so stupid. If you guys want to get mad at anyone, get mad at the irresponsible illegal parents who rare risking separation from their kids and their children's well-being by breaking the law and bringing them over in the first place. Don't get mad at the people who are following the law and doing their jobs.
