But yesterday I was talking to my brother if he wanted to have Uber Eats for dinner and the next thing is Uber Eats all over my feed!! Like this is next level creepy! At first it was my aunt and I figured she didn't realize how Google Ads work or something. I thought she must have searched for it by typing it out. But according to her and the others too, it was just talking about something out loud that made it appear in the ads. Definitely creepy but after knowing about the whole Cambridge Analytica fiasco, I wouldn't be surprised if they did have some sort of speech-recognition element encoded in whatever algorithms they use and not be transparent about it.
