It looks like he doesn't like a label that is being forced on him that may or may not be true (like he could be straight, but who cares. It's his life, not anyone else's). Where I live the media had a semi-witch hunt on an Olympic swimmer who hadn't at the time come out as gay, forcing the guy to come out when he may not have felt 100% confident in doing so.
