After assuming the position of Translations Coordinator since October 2013, I’ve officially stepped down from the position. Yes, I’ve become grey and not in the ‘smellie’ group that was set by Sadface. Hurrah! 5 years coming, the time has come for a new beginning.
It’s my honor to introduce the new Translations Coordinator: renn!
Those who float around the Chinese Translations section should know her :P Renn's not only an excellent translator, she’s an invaluable teammate who was part of the guinea team when Translations team wasn’t even really a team yet. Throughout these years she has helped in keeping the team alive, stuck through thick and thin, consistently fulfilling requests from OH members (majority of the Chinese translations are done by her!). I am most relieved that Renn’s still willing to continue the journey with us and happy that she has accepted the offer to the coordinator position. Rest assured she will do an excellent job as the coordi
To my former and present translators: after all these years, I still don’t know how to express my gratitude for the work you have done for OneHallyu. Translating is one of the most difficult things EVER and for you guys to voluntarily dedicate time and effort in doing the very said thing, truly thank you from the bottom of my heart. You’re all angels ;-; (a shout-out to the soul of our Japanese team: tokpopandbeyond - for being with us since the beginning too!!)
To say that OneHallyu has impacted my life isn’t an overstatement. Through OneHallyu, I’ve met and befriended fellow staff and members, many wonderful people who eventually has become an integral part of my life (you guys know who you are :D). As I am writing this, so many memories are flashing through my mind: when Team Thirsty got 1st place in OneHallyu’s 1st Anniversary Scavenger Hunt (Fitz, Yoongi, Kuma, Pinklette - I miss you guys <3), the glorious mafia game era where signing up for mafia games would result in getting waitlisted because literally everyone wanted to play. The fun projects that we did: Oh!Snap, WoH! (Weekly OneHallyu), the ‘annual’ OneHallyu Awards. The staff Skype calls we used to have. The roasting that I’d get in the Coordi chat (ahem Panda and Rinne). ANYWAYS, that’s enough rambling from me before I turn this into something else
Thank you Translations Team and OneHallyu, for giving me so many precious memories! From now on, please look after the Translations Team~ Wishing the best for you all
