Jenny Lewis of Rilo Kiley shares Just One Of The Guys!

It’s been six years since the former Rilo Kiley leader Jenny Lewis released Acid Tongue, her last solo album, and she returns this summer with the new one The Voyager. Ryan Adams, along with frequent collaborator Mike Viola, produced most of the album, but he wasn’t behind lead single “Just One Of The Guys.†Instead, Beck, Lewis’s peer in sunnily heartbroken California singer-songwriterdom, produced the song. It’s a warm, pretty country-rock lope about never quite fitting in. Check out the lyric video below. Source!

Rilo Kiley is/was one of my favourite bands alive... 

 

That said... i've rarely enjoyed Jenny's solo stuff as much as the stuff she does with Rilo Kiley (although her albums are quite brilliant in their own respect).

 

I like this though....because, this feels like The Voyager might be a bit more fun than Acid Tongue (which was great artistically but...), you wouldn't have found this on Acid Tongue... this is a bit more indie pop than alt-country-rock.

Ah! I missed Jenny Lewis so much! Rilo Kiley was one of my favorite bands when I was growing up and I can always listen to their albums and it never gets old :3
