Japanese politician is attacking TWICE for a shirt that Dahyun wore.

On November 13, Japanese politician Onodera Masaru shared a past airport photo of Dahyun from September 2017. The idol star is captured in a shirt supporting comfort women victims.

'Comfort women' refers to Korean women who were forced into sex slavery for the Japanese soldiers during World War II.

Onodera Masaru tweeted, "BTS is not going on NHK's 'KÅhaku Uta Gassen.' This is good news but there's another bad incident. This is a 'comfort women' shirt. The profit from the shirt is being inappropriately used for Korea's 'comfort women' movement. I have reported the issue to NHK."

Marymond', the brand behind the shirt that Dahyun wore, designs products and content in support of the comfort women victims.

The Japanese politician's tweet gained over 15K retweets as of this writing. Right-wing Japanese netizens are demanding TWICE to be removed from 'KÅhaku Uta Gassen' lineup.

On the other hand, Korean netizens are reacting with anger to the politician's tweet. Comments stated, "Why are they tackling this now? This is nonsense," "They don't even have the right to be mad. Korean women are the victims," "Japan just needs to stop," "They're going too far now. Don't mess with the comfort women victims."

Meanwhile, NHK recently confirmed TWICE attendance at this year's 'KÅhaku Uta Gassen.' The announcement has upset right-wing Japanese netizens.

??? Dahyun's showing support for victims who went through atrocious experiences. Honestly, this is getting more and more pathetic. Every little thing has become an issue now.

All BTS members used Marymond shirts and phone cases at some point. Japanese media nitpicked it and called it "Anti-Japanese".

Just how? Being pro-Korean doesn't mean you're anti-Japanese. They're supporting sex slaves, victims of war. This just proves their denial of war crimes.

I understand that this is a sensitive issue but why are tensions between South Korea and Japan so high especially if the Japanese can get along with America so well?

Japan and America's issue aren't as blood drenched and glossed over as Japan and Korea's.

Imagine if Germany never owned up to all the fuckery it did to Poland.
