I definitely think they can do it. I really like Lay's voice. And Yeah Tao is not there but maybe soon he will improve. I didnt except him to be this good tbh. Yeah, he trained for a short time so there's plenty of room for improvement and it's unlikely he reached his full potential (same even for Baekhyun and Chen too). Only Suho and Kai have been trained for a long time. The others like a year or two. Baek and Chen were trained for like 3 months. I hope they improve and show more talent. It's just that I really like his voice (both singing and rapping) and he has so much potential.... On a side note: I love how he just did it on stage. in front of everyone.
