I feel like nobody really answered OPs question lmao yes there's school drama shows in every country but it's obvious there's a lot more in SK I guess it's because school is much more important for the youth over there because of grades and family pressure and at a point it become an essential part of their lives so those dramas are more relatable for teenagers

lol whats recently aired tho? at the primetime? I can only recall school 2017, revenge note. Compared to japanese movie/drama market, korean lacked teen / coming of age / highschool drama imo. Almost all the young actors and actresses immediately switched to adult roles or they only acted as the younger versions of the adult main character, not really the main role in dramas..
