The Worst Group Departures..

The worst thing ever in KPOP is when a member you like or even your favorite member leaves their respective group.. unfortunately I've come across this way too many times and it had taught me not to be invested in nugu groups because of it..

The worst one for me was when Sohee decided to not renew her contract with JYP.. I was shocked and confused and didn't know what to think.. I could not imagine Wonder Girls without Sohee and Sohee without Wonder Girls.. I never expected it too.. I've always seen my girls as sisters sticking together.. and It felt like yet another Nail in The Wonder Girls Coffin.. First was sunye's marriage and then her baby and then the rumor of her mission in Haiti (Which became a reality this year) it was just a huge mess and It felt like I was losing my girls.. this is literally the worst thing that happened in Kpop for me

Then was Sunmi leaving in 2010.. It was around the time I truly got into kpop.. where I knew more than 2 or 3 groups.. After the tell me virus infected me my love affair with the Wonder Girls began! and when ventured into the US I was sort of happy because I moved to the US around 2011.. So i thought Ill be able to meet them and see them live.. but that venture costed JYP Sunmi.. the pressure and the stress got to her and she wanted to withdraw from the group.. I don't blame her.. Hearing the stories about what they went through I completely understood why she left.. But at the time I was an ignorant child.. I began to hate her and Lim for taking her place.. But after a while and me looking for a replacement for the Wonder Girls.. I began to see how different all the other groups were.. and I began to miss and appreciate my girls alot.. so I gave them a chance and I started loving Lim and truly admiring her for being able to withstand all the hate she was getting..

Also from JYP.. was Jay Park leaving 2PM.. That was just a shock to me.. and the worst part of it all its just when I just started liking 2PM (Again & Again was the shit!) It was such a shock for me that I dropped 2PM completely.. I just lost interest in the group as a whole up until I'll be back? a year later? But now I love both Artists and support them to the fullest.. however until today seeing Jay Park makes me sad and miss him as the leader of 2PM!

Lastly I'll talk about the one that was completely unexpected to me.. Dongho from U-Kiss.. Man, that kid was adorable as hell! I just loved him so much! I kept watching videos on youtube and I stumbled on his variety show appearances and I just thought he was awesome.. I never really paid attention to U-Kiss up until that time and then I watched U-Kiss's latest video at the time and it was Standing Still! Its a really really good song! and I was so into them at the time.. this one is actually special to me because it was the first time where my favorite member left their group.. I was so surprised because he was really becoming one of my favorite Idols in kpop! it truly hit me hard when he left.. but he left because of health problems so theres nothing to be done about it.. His well being is a priority in any matter..

anyway those are the ones that were worst for me.. What about you guys.. What would you say are the ones that impacted you the most ~~

JYJ/TVXQ broke my heart. It was so confusing because they looked like they shared a really tight bond and most importantly, they were such a great team.

Learnt my lesson...that even if the members act all chummy, at the end of the day its most probably just a business relation.

One of the reasons I like Changmin is because he keeps it real...never does anything cheesy in an attempt to impress people.

EDIT: Also Kahi from after school...she was literally the backbone of the group and such a fantastic leader. But it didn't shock me because we all knew she'd graduate someday.

And Sunye from Wonder Girls...seeing how much she worked to debut as an idol I thought she'd be a career oriented person, but she already has a baby! But I'm happy she didn't do something abrupt like a shot-gun wedding. It was nice to see even JYP openly supporting and congratulating her. :)

My fear with nugu groups is... never making a comeback EXID

I haven't been into kpop long enough to experience a departure. Thankfully my fave groups are solid

Thank God If anything happened to Miss A I will literally drop everything kpop

Sunye. TTTTTTT

Shes still not out.. Have Faith in my girls

DB5K for me, but also Jay Park. However, I think Jay Park got out of it better than he used to so I've accepted it loooong ago rofl

I wanna say I know how you feel but I really can't I was never into SM groups up until 2011.. I only liked SNSD's Genie and Suju Sorry Sorry.. so I never followed DBSK.. but i had a friend that was a die hard fan.. she literally stopped following anything from SM after that incident..

Kris was the most shocking for me because Exo is one of the groups I've been following closely since debut  :rlytearpls:

kris

Kris leaving was bad! ill have to be honest he wasnt the my favorite member but still EXO wouldnt be the same without him.. also given the fact that I became a fan a bit later than everyone else (Overdose) It wasnt as bad for me as it must have been for all EXO stans..

i really liked Kara

so Jiyoung and Nicole's departure really affected me

Nicole is one of my top biases in Kpop. And after her departure, I just can't stan Kara as I used to. IMO, she was the one who made both Step and Mr. memorable.

I can't wait for her solo debut.

Yea I agree this was also horrible! I like Kara

I was around for Jay's or JYJ's departure, I left kpop just before those events.  But I would say that they both hold high relevance in my heart, so I'm glad they all came out successful in the end.  I still avoid most videos and songs with the 7 members of 2PM though.   I also sort of avoid any DB5K videos.

Sohee's wasn't shocking, but I was sad.  I was glad that she was finally pursuing her dreams though, but upset because I don't like watching groups I like having members leave.  The Wonder Girls were never really that relevant to me, but I guess when Sohee left the realisation of having the second generations start to disband upset me.

I remember when Kara announced that Nicole and Jiyoung weren't coming back, that I quite down.  They both weren't my favourite member but it was hard seeing them leave.

Kris' on the most impactful for me.  For the first week I went through tears and so so much hate.  He was my first EXO bias and still is one of my biases.  I'd followed EXO since debut and it hurt a lot.  It still does, but I'm much stronger now.
