Mariya Nishiuchi Makes First Public Appearance Since Being Dropped by Agency

On November 12, Mariya Nishiuchi made an appearance at an event for French champagne maker G.H. Mumm Champagne.

 

This was the first time Nishiuchi has made a public appearance since she was dropped by her agency Rising Production at the end of March.

 

Nishiuchi was invited to the event after appearing in one of the company's PR videos. The talent, who is currently not represented by an agency, explained that representatives for the company reached out to her directly through Instagram.

 

When asked about her future endeavors, Nishiuchi said that she is mainly interested in making music again. She also revealed that she is studying English.

 

Nishiuchi's career had been put on hold by Rising Production, which did not give her work in the year leading up to her contract expiration on March 31, 2018. A report published by tabloid Magazine Shukan Bunshun claims that Nishiuchi and the agency's president were involved in an altercation that got her black listed.
