I'd say that, that's the same reason why MUM48 still hasn't happened. Doesn't help that SNH48 ended up blowing up and then backstabbing them which must've lost him thousand of dollars. BNK48 debuted just last year and MNL48 this year. On top of that AKB48 China, SGO48, and TPE48 were all announced this year with MUM48's future in the air for a year now. 6 new sister groups on top of the 6 48 groups in Japan - along with JKT48 who basically got ditched... That's alot of groups with very little direction and even less money. Way too much trouble for Aki-P to be making these groups into nothing but AKB cover groups. Why would these oversea sister groups take tolls on AkiP when he barely invested into them physically and mentally? AKS does not invest their own money into these groups, they’re funded by investors in their own countries. Which is why TPE48’s initial debut failed.
