masc twink 19 Posted June 3, 2014 Share Posted June 3, 2014 hmm im a 10th grader and im currently taking algebra 2 i signed up for trig at my school but SINCE THERES SO MANY FUCKING PPL FROM ALG 2 ACC TAKING IT, THE REG ALG 2 CLASS MAY NOT GET IN :(((( note: summer school is free in my school if i dont get in, should i just take it at another school (it costs money) like 605$ its at arcadia high school ^__^ if u go there or know som1from there holla ^_^_^_^ I DONT WANT TO TAKE TRIG DURING MY JUNIOR YEAR BECAUSE THE TEACHERS THAT TEACHES TRIG CANNOT TEACH WHATSOEVER - SHES NOTORIOUS FOR BEING A HORRIBLE TEACHER also i wanna take 4 or 3 ap classes for my junior year (: ya i die Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I would definitely get a head start on Trig tho, so that by Senior year you can take either Calc or AP Calc. You definitely wouldn't want to take it in college. (It was geometry last year) I had to get through like 2-3 chapters a day (which took hours) to finish 1st semester and move on to second semester. But when it came time to do the EOC, i didn't have to take it since my district changed its grad requirements It was pretty pricey, but worth it imo I am taking algebra2/trig right now, but for me it's one class Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Salty Pretzel 942 Posted June 3, 2014 Share Posted June 3, 2014 When I was in high school, I did something similar. I took precalculus over the summer to get ahead so that way I could take AP calc. From my experience, It was definitely worth it. If you're confident in your math skills then a horrible teacher should be no problem. $605 is a lot though... When I took summer classes at my local community college it only cost ~$300. Sooooo, if you have the money and you trust your skills then you should go for it.
