Kris: They’re here, I was in SF, in NY & MY FANS ARE REAL PEOPLE. They’re real people supporting me every single day. Not bots, not that type of shit. That gets me MAD. Just cuz they’ve never seen Chinese artists on top of the charts doesn’t mean that’s not gonna happen.

KING!

edit: those brainless haters already are here and downvote all positive comments and try to find some stupid excuses to critize him. lmaooooo

I really wanted to like this guy but he makes the whole thing sound like he was targeted because he's chinese and his fans are sooo innocent...... but the truth is his chinese fans are really just cheaters

ranking on a US chart is for albums/singles sold in the US. Last I checked, US stands for United States, not China.

It's not about cheating, it's not about topping! It's about calling people bots AND that's not ok!

So yea he got the #1 spot because his FANS used VPN but it's not illegal & iTunes should do something about it if they really don't want it to happen again (but like I don't think they will do anything since they're getting $$$)!

So KRIS YES go OFF & tell them ahmagahplz.png

Wow... He's actually playing the discrimination card! How shameless smh.

United States has legit issues regarding accepting Asians in their entertainment industry, and they deserve to be adressed. But this guy is bringing that up in vain just to stroke his damaged ego. I thought he would be wiser than that.

Forget his race/ethnicity for a second and imagine this scenario: A guy who's name the GP doesn't know, who's music isn't being widely hailed as the next big revelation, and who is largely ignored by radios, somehow manages to block artists of the likes of Ariana Grande for days from topping the charts in US iTunes? THAT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE.

People suspected, iTunes checked, filtered out VPN, and his music plummeted down the charts. There might come a day when a Chinese artist legimately slays US charts for days, but in this case, it didn't happen.

  • 3 weeks later...

So for a few days we know that Kris had more fans who can pay than Ariana. lol

I’ll say this as an Asian. Whether it is BTS, Kris, Xukun, etc. the market in Asia is simply bigger.

If your fans in the US can’t outspend people coming in on VPN then your fanbase is kinda poor and cheap no?

Ehhhh.......so he did not mention VPN??

The whole bot thing was kind of ridiculous, but it was pretty clear that it was VPN. Scooter deserved the clapback from people on Twitter. But Kris is unknown among the American GP. I hope he doesnt go around and think that he is "all that" in America, cause he aint.
